Key Biscayne Duathlon and Triathlon Demo is the perfect place to train all three disciplines in a controlled and secure environment.

Open water session starts with a warm-up, swimming between 150 and 200 meters. We then proceed to the open water course between buoys, swimming up to 1000 meters. Next we do swimming-cycling transition practices, entering and leaving the water with controlled repetitions. We then move to the cycling station where the transition times are supervised. Once the cycling section starts, a route is covered in distances between 17 and 21 miles. Lastly, transitions between cycling and running are practiced followed by a running route covering distances between 3 and 4 miles.

RECOMMENDED BIKE: Road bike or Triathlon bike.

RIDER TYPE: Intermediate or professional (for the 3 segments)
Beginner (only for the cycling and running segments)

  • Swimming goggles and swimming hat
  • Road bike or Triathlon bike
  • Helmet
  • Biking shoes
  • Security kit
  • Average and Distance watch
  • Running shoes
  • Hydration
  • Sun hat
  • Sunglasses
  • Energy bars or energy gel

TOTAL TRAINING TIME: APPROXIMATELY 2 hours 30 minutes

MEETING POINT: – 4600 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, FL 33149.

TIME TO MEET: 7:00 a.m.

PLEASE BE AWARE: Be 15 minutes before starting the training and have the bicycle in optimal conditions of use, do not forget hydration and feeding, cycling and running shoes, sunglasses, hat, and swimming glasses.
