Sunday Social Ride
SUPERVISED, RELAXED RIDE AMONGST MEMBERS AND GUESTS AT A REASONABLE PACE.
NON-COMPETITIVE RIDE AT AN AVERAGE OF 17-21 MPH, WHERE NOBODY IS LEFT BEHIND.
A TWO-HOUR EXCURSION INTO SOME OF THE MOST COLORFUL BACKROADS.
Welcome to our Sunday Training sessions. This is considered a "social ride" where you will meet and greet other members and guests as we take a relaxed 42-45 mile ride as a peloton. Just like our advanced ride, the object of this training is to achieve the following:
Proper riding formation
Proper distance for team effort
Maintaining speed and distance
Riding as a tight group
Peloton style training
Your role within the group
This Training is designed for Recreational, Beginner, Intermediate to Advanced riders.
Our members meet at 7:30 am all year round, with exceptions that fall beyond our control, such as inclement weather or other emergencies that will be posted on this site regularly.
In order to accommodate all of our members, the starting point of this training ride varies as follows:
West Kendall (13800 SW 137th Ave, Miami, FL 33186)
Enjoy a structured and focused ride with your teammates through the most colorful open back roads starting at West Kendall Toyota automobile dealership to "Robert Is Here Fruit Stand and Farm" in Homestead and back. One stop (approximately 15 to 20 minutes) at Robert to re-hydrate and consume your food of choice before returning to West Kendall. Approximate duration: 2:30.
Key Biscayne (4400 Rickenbacker Causeway)
Enjoy a structured and focused ride with your teammates through a carefully planned, safe ride from the Miami Seaquarium to the tip of Key Biscayne Park with several rotations and formation variations throughout the ride. The ride includes incursions into Virginia Key as well as a few repeats on the Rickenbacker Causeway bridge. Approximate duration: 2:30.
